A personal exhibition by Ukrainian painter Andriy Nekrasov has opened at the Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral in central London, drawing strong interest from both the Ukrainian community and local Londoners.
The show, which features more than 40 works, brings together vivid landscapes of Ukraine alongside picturesque cityscapes, coastlines and countryside views of the United Kingdom. Nekrasov, an Honoured Artist of Ukraine and member of the Union of Artists of Ukraine, is known for his vibrant palette and emotional, light-filled style.
The opening ceremony was led by Bishop Kenneth Nowakowski of the Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of the Holy Family of London, and included Ukrainian classical music, contemporary songs, and readings of Taras Shevchenko’s poetry. Visitors also had the chance to take part in creative workshops, experiencing the energy of painting first-hand.
The exhibition has been warmly received, with guests praising its unique aura and expressive colours. It will remain open until 17 March, daily from 11:00 to 18:00, at the Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral, 21–22 Binney Street, London.
